Customer relationship management, or CRM, is a tricky topic to approach, and even trickier to get right. More often than not, personal experience is needed to wade through all of the packages out there and find the one that works. Having done just that, I present you with the best small business CRM out there.

About me

So who am I and what do I do? Well, I sell and support a small business CRM package called Infusionsoft. Choosing Infusionsoft was a careful decision, and I made sure to do my homework before settling on a CRM. Now I will be the first to admit that the internet is not a panacea for all business woes or the solution to all problems. I quickly found that when testing CRM’s, there are many factors to consider. This is where the simplicity point came in. I had to make sure that our new CRM would work with our sales team, as there was no chance they would get it if the CRM was not direct and straightforward. With simplicity in mind, I checked off many of the leading CRM software out there, including Sales Force, Sugar, and Dynamics. Don’t get me wrong I loved these CRM’s, but they were not simple cost effective or manageable for a small team.

The second thing I had to consider was power. I needed the best small business CRM that was both simple and also capable of doing what my business needed to do. Now remember, I need powerful software for a small business, not a Fortune 500 company. With that in mind, Sales Force and Dynamics are way too big. This left me with several smaller yet powerful CRM software including Zoho, Aweber, Green-Rope, and Infusionsoft. I tried all of these, and after weighing the pros and cons of each, decided to go with Infusionsoft. A mix of simplicity and power, countless hours of research finally resulted in me finding a powerful yet functional CRM for my business.

The Power of Infusionsoft

What sold me on Infusionsoft is that the interface is straightforward and easy to use. It requires little understanding of computers in order to operate, and I find that the streamlined approach makes it possible for even my most computer-backwards team to get it right. In addition, I have been able to use Infusionsoft to streamline a number of processes, saving everyone in the office, including myself, valuable time. In short, I was running a small business with a tool that scaled well and provided the services and opportunities normally only seen in larger companies. As a result, I had an advantage growing my business and succeeding where others were not as lucky.
